    MJ: CVBJ Questions and Problems

    Norm,

Is there any way to increase the rate of payoff errors? I moved the slider all the way to the right but the dealer hardly makes any payoff mistakes.

For real time mode, can the doubledown card be dealt horizontally?

Here are some run time error messages that I get:

    Run-time error '384':
A form can't be moved or sized while minimized or maximized

This occurs when I exit the CV Drills and return to the game. I have no choice but to click ok and return back to the desktop b/c the software shuts off.

The next error is when I experiment with the Composition Dependent Indexes. I open the box and input any number
such as 1 or 2. Then the following appears:

    Run-Time error '6':
    Overflow

Again, I am returned to the desktop.

Finally, when I backup the file it does not appear on the desktop. I run a search and it only appears as a shortcut. I follow the path specified but the file just does not show up. What can I do?

It's not supposed to occur often as that would make it easier to spot. The idea is to get you to forget about the option. But, I'll look at increasing it.

No, That would require another 3 sets of cards. The real-mode cards are in 3d prerspective and can't be rotated. As it is there are 13 sets of cards, not counting numberless cards and mnemonic cards for Ace sequencing. But I may add it yet.

Download the latest update for the above two. If it still occurs, e-mail the exact steps that caused the err.

Somebody else told me this happens to them. Has to be a Windows setting. I'll experiment.

Yea you really should. Sometimes I can play through 2-3 shoes and there wont be a single payoff error (despite the slider all the way on the right)! The frequency really needs to be increased. If the player feels it is too frequent, then they can always reduce it. The key is to allow the player to decide what they do or do not want.

On another note, how do I modify the complete BS strategy so multicard 16 vs 10 is "Hit" rather then "Stand"?

    Thanks,
    MJ

Create a user strategy based on Basic STrategy. Then in Modify Tables, just click on 16vT to change it to Hit.
