    zengrifter: File Transfer?

    Thanks for the spyware help!

    Another question -

I haVE A NEW pc THATS NOT NETWORKED WITH THE OLD ONE. The old one doesn't burn CDs.

I have about 200MB of files (mostly docs) that I would like to move to the new PC - can I zip the folder of docs and use a file sharing system like Kaaza or WinMX? zg

I think that's a possibility, but it would be a lot easier (to me, at least) to just stick network card in the new PC (a good thing to have anyway) and use a crossover ethernet cable to network them together. Considering that 10/100 PCI ethernet cards can be had for under $10 these days (I've seen them on sale as low as $2.95) and a crossover cable is a few dollars, I think this is the simplest way. If you don't like getting "under the hood" of your PC, there are ethernet adapters available that plug into a USB port.

Another possibility would be using one of the USB flash drives (commonly referred to as "pen drives"), assuming that both computers have USB ports. These are available in sizes all the way up to a gigabyte, so the 128 or 256 MB ones are now relatively inexpensive.
