Marc: Sim software
I am looking for a BJ Simulator. I don't need extensive reporting capabilities, but I do want the following:
1. index generator
2. optimal betting ramps
3. ability to calculate win rate (or SCORE) for a strategy.
I would like to buy only one simulator.
Any recommendations?
Thanks.

bigplayer: you will need
either the combo of SBA and BJRM or CVData and CVCX to do what you want.

The reason that CVData doesn't handle optimal bet calculation is that no optimal betting theory exists for the complex betting strategies handled by CVData. CVCX handles optimal betting but CVData is designed for absurdly complex betting. But it just occured to me that there is a method that should work. Problem is it would take quite awhile to run. Might be worth it though.

It looks like CVCX does not have an index gen, is that correct?

Correct.

Only CVData. Basically to keep the price of CVCX low. As it is, if you look at CVCX as a sim library (150,000 canned sims,) optimal bet calculator, and set of 12 risk/bankroll/etc. calculators, the built-in simulator is free.
