Sonny: Trying to find Trip ROR in Excel
I'm trying to make an Excel spreadsheet for ROR calculation using Don's trip ROR formula (p. 161-164). In the book he gives us tables in order to look up the cumulative normal probability distributions needed to solve the equation. Is there a way that I can copy these charts into Excel and have the formula look up these values? I don't know much about spreadsheets, but my programming background tells me that there must be some way to have the computer reference these charts on its own. I'm sure many of you folks have done the same thing already (or am I the only one who is too cheap to buy the software?).
I already have the lifetime ROR formula working on the spreadsheet, and I thought it would be good to see the short term ROR as well. Thanks in advance for your help.

Wait till you get a look at the four new formulas in BJA3!
Norm just programmed the cumulative normal curve into a new CV charting function, so I'm sure he can help you, once he reads this.

Use the NORMSDIST function.
