UOM: Can I sim "trip" br info w/o a defined total br?

I'm partial to CVCX so this question is with CVCX in mind, but if somehow BJRM2002 can do what I am asking and CVCX cannot, then I will not hesitate to go that route.

I make a trip to several casinos once a month, and I average 10-20 hours per trip depending on whether I am flying solo or with friends. I bring $XXXX per trip as my bankroll - this is separate from my non-bj money.

If I lose as much as 3/4 of my bank I can (and have) replenish it to $XXXX in time for the next monthly trip. Optimally, I would like to play to a ROtR (risk of trip ruin) of 5%.

Here's my problem. CVCX calculates SD, $/HR, ROR and DI with the understanding that I am playing to a hard defined bank - for "forever" number of hands. This isn't my case though, because I play to a hard TRIP bank, nothing more. If I entered my trip bank into the main table area, then my ROR (and every other calculation) is really off the charts because the program assumes I am entering my total BR for an infinite number of hands and not my trip BR for a finite number of hands (1000-2000 per trip, sometimes more).

So the calculations in the main area of CVCX are meaningless to me because I am not playing to a set total BR. What I need to know is if there a way I can get SD, $/HR, ROtR, etc. on *just* a per-trip basis?

    If so, how?

Taking CVCX for example, the numbers I need can be calculated in the "calculators" section. However, the values used by the calculator (WR and SD for example) are yanked from the displayed table in the main area which has my non-existent bank information for an infinite number of hands...so I can't use these numbers.

I can only think of three ways I can get my per-trip calculations:

    1) Make up a hypothetical total bank based on adding together my monthly banks for a year, enter that in the main table area and then use the calculators to get an idea of what to expect on a trip.

    2) Somehow get the main table area to make its calculations based on the finite number of hands I play per trip instead of the default infinity number of hands.

    3) Generate my own SD, WR, etc numbers based on my finite hands per trip (I wouldn't know where to begin, hence my dependence on simulators), and then manually enter these numbers into the calculator section.

If 1, 2 or 3 can work, please guide me on how I can do it. If none of the options work, please let me know what is wrong with my line of reasoning.

    Thanks,

    UOM

If you use CVCX to "play" the game you're interested in, just get it to generate an EV and SD in units. The bank you used is irrelevant.

Then, go to the calculators section, and use the new one, with the airplane icon, for trip ruin.

Use the EV and SD previously generated by CVCX, and enter your TRIP bankroll for units. The TRIP ROR will then be furnished.

    Simple, no?

UOM: Simple, yes. :-) Thank you! *NM*
