    ZOD: Shreveport

Going to Shreveport in the next month for the first time in two years. Does anyone have comments on conditions, the best playable games, etc?

    Thanks in advance.

I was there a couple weeks ago. Being as there are only 4 places it won't take you long to find the couple of playable games that are there.

E-mail if you want details. [email protected].

Most 6 deckers are S17 4-4.5 decks cut off. Sams Town is the only casino with surrender, and they tend towards better pen. The El Dorado (formerly Hollywood) has more $5 min games than anyone else. (I'm a red chipper) $25 min DD available at Boomtown and Isle with lousy (50%) pen. High limit pits (such as they are) are pretty empty midweek.

It's fairly easy for meal comps with a couple hours red play at most places. I recommend getting a comp for the mex bar at Boomtown rather than the buffet. Fajitas are excellent, and free happy hour food if you're broke.

Horseshoe is now owned by Harrahs, but luckily no 6:5 there yet. Hopefully it's against the law in Louisiana.

Good luck and have a good time, there's always a lot of fun players there. Just watch out you don't mess up the flow of the cards.

    Jay
