MrAnanzi: Agua Caliente & Spa Casinos
...
Have they gone back to using 6D shoes, or are they still using the shufflemaster CSMs that they installed last summer?
Thanks in advance...

Parker: Agreed

This is also what I have heard, although I have not personally been up that way in several months.

Dog Hand: Respectfully Disagree
This is a fragement of a post I made on GC West in late December...
First, the bad news: the Spa changed from S17 to H17 about two months ago. Also, since the Agua Caliente is owned by the same tribe, I would assume that A.C. also changed to H17, though I didn't get there to see for myself. Spa had plenty of 6D tables, with mins as low as $10, that weren't crowded. They also had two DD tables, with exceedingly crappy rules: H17, D10, NoDAS, and a penetration that you have to see to believe, because they start by burning half a deck, then they insert the shuffle card about a half-deck from the bottom, for a pen. of 50% on average, though if you look around, you'll find a few who'll give 60% (and others closer to 40%!). The mins on the DD tables were sometimes $25, and other times $15. Also, Spa replaced their CSM's with SD 6:5 crapjack, with the same crappy rules as for DD.
Hope this helps!

Parker: What are you disagreeing with?
Your info on the Spa matches my info (and Trackjack as well).
Just because the casinos are under the same ownership does not necessarily mean that the rules/conditions are the same. I don't assume anything.
My most recent info (mid-Dec) is that Agua Caliente is still S17, with about ten 6D shoes, ten CSM tables, and a couple of crappy DD games with conditions as you describe.
If you (or anyone else) has any first-hand info to the contrary, I'd love to hear about it.

Dog Hand: That Spa is 50% CSM...
Parker,
Sorry about the confusion... I only meant that, from my first-hand knowledge, Spa had no CSM's as of mid-October.
As I indicated above, I never got to visit Agua Caliente, so my only knowledge of their conditions came from replies by dealers to my queries.
I guess we all know how valuable the information freely given by BJ dealers is! ;-)

sorry, i answered the above without thinking very much
I believe ACal is 50/50 on the shoe games for hand/csm, i don't think they have any double deck--and i believe $10 is the minimum on all tables
I don't know what the situation is at the SPA re csm/hand shuffles, however, I believe $15 is the lowest table on their shoes...SPA has some DD, but it is D10...and although some say 50% pen on that game, i recall seeing about an 80% one morning last year -- it was the $25 min table, and at that pen, it seemed like a play to me...
i like both places
