Maverick: If you could go?
If you could go anywhere in the West to play several casinos within walking distance, where would you go?
I play red chips and I count.

Downtown Las Vegas. While it's not as good as it used to be, there are still about a dozen casinos with at least marginally playable blackjack, and a handful of pretty decent games. In addition, there is cheap food and a variety of diversions (Fremont St. Experience, etc.) for when you take a break from the tables.
Reno would be my second choice, except that the best games in that town are not "within walking distance" of each other. Besides, it gets cold and nasty there in the winter, and there are some safety concerns with being downtown late at night.
Laughlin was once an option, but no more. While nine casinos within easy walking distance looks enticing, 6:5 BJ has taken over and there are only a couple of playable games left.

Downtown LV has a few incredible opportunities for card counters right now. If you keep your eyes open you will see just about every type of advantage play available.

Wendover Nevada. There are four casinos that have plenty of 3:2 single deck BJ tables. You can play all weekend with little to no heat if you have a decent act.
