Michael: Casino Magic, Bay St. Louis, Missippi
I just moved to BSL. How is Casino Magic for Blackjack?

Dog Hand: Casino Maggot
Michael,
Well, they USED to have SD BJ there, until they became infested with Crapjack last January.
The DD game has decent rules (S17, DA2, DAS) but lousy penetration: 50%. I guess they figure they need to get the maximum possible use out of their ASMs. Oddly enough, some of the DD games are pitch, while others are face-up... I don't know why.
At least they still have Pete Fountain ;-)

Forget the 6:5 Single Deck-obvious reasons...
6 deck-$5 min. playable but there's a LOT of ploppys playing most of the time, especially at nights and on the weekends. Pen 50% (puke). Actually got the wife to join my team and we did fairly good. Up 120 units after about 1.5 hrs.
DD-$10 min. Decent rules (S17, DA2, DAS). I recommend going during the week compared to the weekends. Pen depends on the dealer. IF you tip once in a while, and casually talk to the dealer, I've gotten 80% pen. Best case-up 200 units playing min. $25 a hand. They use ASM's but not CSM's (beware of those). If you're an AP, you can do pretty good. Watch the obvious, because they're watching you (you know what I mean). Last thing, sometimes it's hard to get into a table since most of the time there's only one DD open.
Another idea, since you're so close, run into Gulfport or Biloxi. The Copa in Gulfport, The Beau Rivage, Palace, Isle of Capri, and Treasure Bay have "playable" games (at least during the day). Evening and weekend all the "want-to-be's" come out of nowhere...BUT you can play undetected for quite a while if you play smart.
Warning-don't even think about N'Orleans-nothing playable.
If you're looking to be rated, none around here even look at you unless you play $25 min./3+ hrs. Considering you can do pretty go here (don't forget Tunica-a whole other story), who cares...
Watch for the weekly tournaments and specials tournaments around here (and Tunica). Very playable and beatable...actually have one a number.
Welcome to the South!
Laissez les bons temps rouler!!!
