Which location gave you the best time? (be careful about any specifics that could identify yourself).

Since rules are the same all over the only thing to look for was conditions. Here is what I found.

Single deck. Only thing consistent about conditions here is that it was inconsistent. Pen anywhere from rule of 5 to dealt to the bottom. I even found these variables in the same casino. Best play was at the green tables during graveyard shift, although heads up play at the green tables could be had most times. If you are careful and don't get greedy 6 to 1 spread is doable.

2deck. Most tables were crowded and only offering 50% pen. As a result I didn't get much play here. I finally found a game with good pen but it didn't do me much good. I got creamed, spreading 8 to 1.

6 deck. Most places cutting off 1 to 11/4. I played some of this, mostly for social reasons, relaxing, flat betting, sucking down a few rum and cokes.

Comps were easy. Never paid for anything out of pocket. I did have occasion to talk to a few Shoe employees. They all agreed business has fallen off since the takeover. At least they are not making what they used to. They seem to think it's got to do with the games getting tighter.

All in all it was very profitable. I would recommend being bankrolled for green play. The opportunities are greater.

I haven't been to the Grand in a while, and don't usually play 6D, but they used to be the only place with S17...no more?
