    Small-Timer: Tahoe conditions

I visited S.L. Tahoe in late July (mid-week), my first trip there in 2 years. Maybe I'm just out of touch, but I was shocked to see several single-deck 6:5 tables not only at Harrah's and Harvey's, but at Horizon as well. The Hard Rock pit at Harvey's was closed, so I'm not sure about those tables (anybody know?). I realize most players aren't that knowledgeable about the mathematics of the game, but I can't believe the casinos are getting away with this rip-off! Is this travesty here to stay, or will players eventually come to their senses and force these places to revert to legitimate BJ?

Brick Waller: 6/5 blackjack is just a circus game.

These games come and go. 6/5 blackjack is already starting to fade away at many casinos i frequent. It's very difficult(if not impossble) to change traditional blackjack. Could you imagine The Coca Cola Co. replacing the Real Coke with some sort of cotton candy drink?

Thinking 6/5 blackjack will become as poular as traditional blackjack has about as much chance as Coke turning into an Un-Cola drink.

May I also add that even though most players(as you say) dont know the mathematics of the game,a total complete idiot or blind man will not realize they did not get back $30 for a $20 dollar blackjack. Yes, no matter how dumb the ploppies are, 99.99% of them know what a blackjack pays.
