Thall: shreveport
I will be in Shreveport for the first time next week. Wondering if anyone could give a heads-up on the bj action. Are there 2 deck/ 4 deck/ 6 deck, DAS, surrender, is there obvious heat, and do all the boats have about the same rules?

blackjack is good, all casinos S17, mostly shoes, surrender availiable at Harrah's/Sam's Town. Harrah's and Horseshoe are both very sharp. Double deck availiable at Isle and Boomtown, Single Deck at Horseshoe (one table).

Do any have DAS and is penetration acceptable?

thall,
All the BJ games in Shreveport/Bossier City allow DAS (except on ace splits, of course). The penetration varies from dealer to dealer and runs the gamut from abyssmal to very good.

it's almost always $25-$500. It's a 5 spot table and they use a cut card so beware of the related effects on penetration. (Although the game is often full and 2r to 5 is the norm at a full table.)
They protect the game and expect one pitboss designated to stand there and intimidate the players by watching every bet and every hand.
