I was on a trip close to Biloxi recently, and the wife was with me. We had a couple of days to kill, so we decided to stop at the Grand. It was on a weekend, and of course, all the tables were pretty much maxed out, but I did manage to get in a little action, nonetheless. Pen on 6D was average to decent, you had to shop for it. I saw one person get the tap at the next table over from mine. He was pretty outspoken about it when the PC said "no more blackjack". He was yelling loudly about having lost about $2500 in three hours, and wanted to know just WHY "the dumb motherf****r Pit Boss wouldn't let him try to get his money back. He finally left the casino, with security beside him.

I was betting red to light green, playing 6D shoes, table-hopping a little. It was tough to get a seat, so I wasn't able to play nearly as much as I wanted to, but overall I wound up almost 1K ahead. Not the best results I ever got, but not bad, either. I did get some nice plus counts, along with a few "dealer miracles", too (once with a hard 20 against dealer's 5, she drew to a four-card 21. Ouch!!).

Incidentally, the buffet at the Grand is as good as ever. Be sure to try it next time you're there.
