Blackjack Moving Into Arizona Casinos

(Tucson, AZ) -- Arizona will soon be offering Las Vegas-style blackjack in its casinos, thanks to the passage of Proposition 202 in November's election. No longer will Arizona gamblers have to settle for a game where players bet against each other instead of against the house. Tucson's "Casino del Sol" plans to hire 200 employees for their new blackjack tables, with games up and running no later than March. The new dealers will undergo about a thousand hours of instruction. Proposition 2020 requires Arizona casinos to give one-eighth percent of their winnings to the state, depending on their take.
