My biggest fear is surviving T-man's driving skills for 7 hours. Trust me...there won't be any grit consuming by this Yankee!

Please see "My Cousin Vinny" for a full analysis of grits.

Maybe I'm safer flying to Memphis, then all I have to do is endure the ride down 61. :-)

I may/may not get to Tunica in late Dec. Noticed your reference to "7hr. Drive". It takes me about 7 hours to get there from SW Mo. area...just curious if you guys are from the same area?

Yes, we live in Atlanta, about 30 minutes apart. Actually, I'm guessing at the 7 hours, but I think I'm pretty close.

I will be off Dec. 24-28th, and "free" 26th-28th. Wife and kids want to fly to Florida circa. the 28th through the rest of the "holidays".

Flights from Southwest Missouri to Florida are Problematic (#2-3 plane changes and frequent layovers...and EXPENSIVE).

Flights from Memphis to Florida are easy and CHEAP!

    Memphis is close to Tunica.

I do not hate Florida...it is just that I am 20 years too old to enjoy getting a suntan, and 20 years too young to enjoy hanging out with old folks and playing shuffleboard and eating prunes.

But then, while I would have to jaunt back to the ShowMe State to work Dec. 29th-31st, I would just be all alone for the first few days of the New Year, while my wife and kids frolic in the Norwalk Virus-infested Gulf.

In one of the Star Trek movies, Spock says "I like to think that there are always POSSIBILITIES".

POSSIBILITIES ARE ABOUNDING...drop them off in Memphis, play games, make new friends, tell lies, work, play more games, take the Family home.

Air-fare savings alone should = 100 Units Green!

    HAPPY, HAPPY, F#^$%king HOLIDAYS!

    I LIKE THIS SITE ALREADY!
