    Freddie: Opposition Betting

Snyder talks about opposition betting. He says you could bet 5 then 25, 5 then 25 during tc between -1/2 & 1/2. When the tc goes to +1, he raises his oppositional betting to 75. I was wondering does Snyder mean to continue the betting pattern. 5, 75, 5 , 75. Or does he mean to just start betting at 75, 75, 75, . Or would it be better to raise it to 25, 75, 25, 75. I would like to know which method was implied in his book Blackbelt.

    Thanks

The bet would be always $75 at a good count. The point is to get as much money as you can out with a good count without looking like a counter. The method is profitable; but there is certainly a cost. A typical 4.5/6, S17, DAS, LS game gives a SCORE of 23 with this method. This is equivalent to optimal betting with a spread of between 1:7 and 1:8.
