Chris H: How do I find out the rules as well as if a game is fake DD, etc
Is there a good method of finding out the table rules, nDAS, LS, etc other than playing the table for awhile and having them tell you you can't double after your split when you try to. Also, do the tables have to have a sign somewhere if the table is doing the fake DD type games? I get sketchy when they load the doubledecks into the big black machine. I'm finding it's much easier for me to count face down handheld games than face up shoes, should I stick with them? Is there any advantage to 6 Deck?
Thanks for the info,
Chris

Yes. Ask a dealer or pitboss about the rules. It is perfectly natural for someone to want to know the rules before playing, and in no way identifies you as an advantage player.
As for doubling after splitting, always try to do it the first time it happens, especially if the casino has some games which allow it. If it is not allowed, they will tell you - or you might get away with it anyway.

There may be a sign saying "Handheld multi-deck game." Or there may not. Look at the backs of the cards in the shuffler and compare them to those in play. In a real DD game, the backs will be different colors. If they are all the same, stay away.

Sometimes the combination of better rules, better penetration, and relative lack of heat make six deck games preferable to the SD/DD games. One must consider the entire picture.
