    Battery: Mindplay question

A low-level player (1-3 red) walks into a casino only to discover they are using Mindplay.

It is his first and undoubtedly last visit to the place.

If the rules are playable and he does not see any preferential shuffling, should he sit down and play a while or should he walk out right away?

He should walk up, sit down, as if to play, and then look more closely at the table and say out loud for all to hear, "Oh, this is that cheating device that knows the cards before they're dealt? I'm outta here!" And then, leave the casino.

bfbagain: I think I can tell this story now

"Oh, this is that cheating device that knows the cards before they're dealt? I'm outta here!" And then, leave the casino.

Almost word for word, I said this at a northern Nevada casino. This took place on a snowy holiday eve, early morning, where the casino was only half full.

For grins, I did say this out loud, but I didn't leave....right away, that is.

I was with a partying group of people, but had told them ahead of time that this was for pure amusement and they should not sit down and play as we were likely to be there for a few moments, and then I explained why, i.e., the concept behind mindplay.

So there were two others sitting and playing at this table, and I bought in for $300. After the chips were handed to me, and the dealer took the cards and placed them into the device that reads the order of the cards, I exclaimed, as Don just said, "Oh, this is that cheating device that I've heard so much about isn't it?" Now the girls, (they were) were both looking at me, and the dealer (a older women) was now shooting bullets at me! She started to act really defensive, called over the pit boss (another women) and we engaged in a conversation about the table. The dealer felt I was attacking her credibility, that the xxx casino would never cheat, the PC said that it was approved by the gaming commission, of which I corrected her, and then went on to inform them of the current litigation, etc.

I was having great fun, as the people who were at other tables nearby all were listeining too!

Before I even had a chance to leave, the two other women got up and went to the cage, other people were leaving, then I left. I had someone go in the next day and cash out. I caused all this ruckus without playing a single hand.

What was interesting, was that they (the dealers and crew) were all well versed with what to say when this subject came up But oh, how defensive they were.

Yes Virginia, all the casino personnel know and completely understand what these tables do and what they are doing.

And that is cheating, plain and simple! And they KNOW IT!

    cheers

    Brick: Optimal play.

The optimal time to buy-in is when the pit boss is near the table. The optimal time to complain and leave is when he approaches you for a players card.

I would have done the same thing at a place I was a couple weeks ago but the tables were empty, so I bought in, saw a nice deep cut, spread to the max and left after one shoe.
