Seemore Scagnetti: Q. About deck composition
This seems to happen to me alot.I'll be playing 3rd. base, with a stiff against a dealers 7, 8, or so. The count says I should
hit. Three out of the five individuals befor me
take hits and no tens land on the table. I follow the count, and hit, and of course bust.....should composition dictate? .....Ever?
Thanks in advance SS

Counting provides better information than composition-dependent basic strategy. If it didn't, there would be no point in learning to count. Follow the white rabbit, er, count.

It's actually short term variance, since by definition we have reached the "long run" when variance becomes insignificant.
It's all relative. :-)
