BS Student: Long-Term Basic Strategy Expectations
I am wondering what the win/loss/tie percentage expectations are long-term for someone playing straight basic strategy. Could someone direct me to where I can find this information?
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the percentages were about 43.5/48.5/8.0. Are these numbers accurate?

That sounds about right. I seem to remember it being about 43/48/9% but that was probably rounded.

As Sonny mentioned, they do sound about right, but I don't have access to my BJ library at the moment to give you a source. Keep in mind, though, that surrender will increase the percentage of "losing" hands by a couple of points.
The sad part is, even sophisticated counting systems do little to improve these numbers (although wonging will help).

You need to specify the precise rules of the game. Obviously, that matters. I've always used, roughly, 43.2, 47.9, and 8.9. Your tie number is a little low.

Not much, but now you're asking questions that are answered by simulation. See Norm's Blackjack Stats at: http://bjstats.com/bjsc.asp
