sam: modifying KO?
What happens to KO if one counts 5 as +2 and Ace as -2? What other adjustment(s) would one need to make?

The Playing Efficiency and Insurance Correlation would be destroyed. At .44 and .628 they would be worse than any popular strategy.

Well, if you made the Ten -2 instead of the Ace, you would have an interesting unbalanced count for single deck. For info on creating strategies, see:

Norm,
Speaking of KO could you tell me at what running count it becomes correct to split 10s vs dealer upcard of 5 and 6 respectfully for 6D, DAS, DA2, LS, and 75% penetration. Also for 8D, DAS, DA2 NO surrender and 75% penetration. Knock-Out Blackjack doesnt provide these indice. :-(
Thanks in advance!

Norm Wattenberger: Afraid so
Peter Griffin is the hero behind the Theory of Blackjack. Easily the best book on the subject. But he didn't like unbalanced strategies and concentrated on single deck with lots of indexes.

Well, I did a system like ko before ko was invented; in 1993 in fact ;could not believe it when few years later I saw it , the only difference being i count 5 as +2 and 7 as 0.
same in every other way and doing well all these years.
