    This is how you true-count an unbalanced count:

    Determine where to start with this formula:

    IRC = -(count imbalance) x (number of decks)

    For example, KO is unbalanced by 4. So, for a 6 deck shoe, we would do this:

    IRC = -(4) x (6 decks)

    So, we start our running count at -24. We then divide by the number of unseen decks, just as with a balanced count.

    Note that this means that the pivot point is now 0. So, a TKO count of 0 is equivalent to a Hi-lo count of +4.

    Ideally, you'd want to generate a set of indices for this with the appropriate software (you certainly can't use the running count indices!), but if you were to subtract 4 from the Hi-lo indices, you'd be in the ballpark.

    Thanks for stepping up, Parker. Note that BJRM has, in its Systems 101 section, all the I18 and Fab 4 indices for both TKO and for deck-by-deck RC levels of penetration.
