    charlie_t_jr: Players Card

    Hey all,

Been counting for a couple of months now, and had a question about players card. before i became a counter i got cards from all my local casinos...but now i'm wondering about using them. right now i'm only betting red, and from most posts i've seen, i shouldn't worry with cover and such...but hopefully soon i'll be progressing to higher levels...but what about player cards now at red and later on? should i just stop using them now and not worry with comps and coupons...a bit confused on the issue because i see others(at higher betting levels i presume) talking comps and freebies...so what gives?

    thanks

I have read, and been advised by others, that cards are essential elements of the red chip player. Because you are playing smaller stakes the comps can greatly increase your overall take. Black chip players will normally recieve comps because they will be unable to play many games without them. Casinos want names when they see blacks. Green chip players have the most to fear from use of the cards. If you play greens, hit and run.

    Good luck

    Thanks HJ

I've been reading BJA(and others). I'm playing at the red level..mostly DD, spreading 5-40,50. Should I be using Don's betting camo at this level or am I safe to just jump my bets and take away my bets according to the count. I've read alot of posts on camo and cover and most seem to dismiss the red player...

    Thanks all for your help

At the range you are currently using, I would suggest being fairly bold with your spread. Remember that the act is what matters most. Your act should be enough to camo this spread. Try to play the role that best fits gambling at this level. Be careful not to be too paranoid. The average gambler is not concerned about their bet spread (they don't even know what one is). At the same time, if it feels hot get out of the kitchen. Why risk a barring when you are just starting out. If you ever get barred, it should be worth it.

May all of your negative fluctuations be during practice sessions,
