Last week, I played heads up for the first time. It was wonderful! No angry ploppies. No slow ploppies. No superstitions. Pleasant conversation with an entertaining dealer.... I can't believe most gamblers do not like the experience.

In fact (I'm a red chip player, by the way),early in the morning, I saw an empty $10 table, I asked the PB if there are any $5 tables. He says, "Well sir, you can play right here for $5." This even worked during the afternoon - At an empty $15 table, I ask, "I see there's an empty $15 table here, can I play for $10?" He says "Sure", but before the dealer even shuffles, two more players sit down. Oh well.

Another thing, this was at Mohegan Sun in CT - at some tables, each player had two circles in front of him, so he could play two spots. Many did. It slowed things down a lot. I didn't mind at negative or neutral counts, but it made positive counts far and few between. Can you imagine 12 spots at one table - some splits, perhaps a resplit or two. Imagine an entire deck gone in one round!!!
