past crazy: Errors with different counting systems
I?m just reading Bryce Carlson?s Blackjack 4 Blood but I?m not sure about the info he gives on page 66 where he?s talking about advantages of his level 2 systems over level 1 systems.
He says ?counting errors are greatly magnified? using level 1 compared to level two system, He then gives an example of miscounting a 3 of spades but it seams like a biased example to me as a 3 is over valued in single level counts, miscounting a 5 would have less impact with level 1 count as it is under valued. Also in his example he bases the error of level 2 system on a running count of +8 and the error of the level 1 system on a running count of +4 and then compares them which is also unfair.
I just want to know if other pros agree with Bryce Carlson with this. I intuitively would think an error would have just as big impact on level 1 as higher level systems, Thanks!!!

I've never heard of anyone else recommending a level 2 count over a level 1 count because errors will have less impact. I think you've got a point.
Anyone care to back up Mr. Carlson on this? Or respectfully disagree?
