    Ckyzxr: Multi-hand play

I am very new to Blackjack and have tested a simple system in theory over 24 consequentive shoes and it seems somewhat sound. BUT it requires multi-hand play.

My question is what is the max number of concurrent hands allowed in an average casino, Vegas or otherwise?

Anyone know of an online casino that allows more than 4 multi-hand play?

    Thanks Much

Well I think you need a much higher sample size then 24 for a real test. I'd check out Wong's 'Professional Blackjack' for multi-hand stats (necessary if you've never heard of co-variance before). I think microgaming's online casino software has a multi-hand that lets you play 5, maybe 6 hands? I havent played with it in a while though...

Thanks for the pointer to microgaming, it fits my system just fine.

How many shoes would establish a solid strategy? What kind of return would do the same? BTW what is the accepted method to measure return or effectiveness of play?

    Thanks again

Well over 100,000,000 hands. You cannot create a winning system through actual play. It is scientifically impossible.

I like to do 400 million. The basic number is the % advantage (Expected Value). Variance is important to know as well. As far as effectiveness, that all depends on how much you can get away with at the casino of your choice, how much you can play, and the parameters above. Oh yeah and i'm no authority so if i have screwed anything up, someone let me know

If you are talking about simming a betting system - save your money. They don't work.
