BJ21addict: Chicago area
Is there any good place to play? I am visiting.
I am thinking of Majestic Star-still poor pen-for 2D,even for 6D & 8D. Blue chip is also unplayable?
Par-A-Dice in Peoria is now H17 for 6D, anyone knows the pen? Thanks for any help/advice

Although it's not nearly as good as it used to be, Blue Chip is still playable with pen of 75%.
Par-A-Dice pen is 83%. They still offer S17 in the high limit area.
Even if the pen was good on the Majestic Star 2D (and it's not!), it would take a HUGE spread to beat it with the awful rules (D10, no DAS, no resplits, no splitting of Aces).
If you're a low limit player, your best bet is the 6D with H17 and 83% pen at Par-A-Dice or the 6D with S17 and 75% pen at Blue Chip. For high limits, your best bet is the Par-A-Dice high limit area.

$25, but there is usually a $15 table on weekday afternoons. My last visit was about a month ago. If you go and there have been any significant changes, I'd appreciate an update.
