    drdetroit: CasinoLuck

I am new at this but was wondering if anyone recently has played at the Hollywood Casino and won. I have nine hours there. Am a pretty good player and have never seen any one win a table I was playing at including myself.
    Hollywood is in Aurura IL.

That place. Oh, brings back bad memories. I don't think I'll ever go back. I have never seen so many people gathered around one blackjack table. Never!! I thought Michael Jordan was playing so I tried to peek around and didn't see anyone recognizable. If I recall, its 8 deck and crowded !!

I think the table minimums were $15 and even some $20 tables which was odd because I don't think I've ever seen a $20 minimum sign.

My advice is unless you are a high roller, don't go to Hollywood. If you can handle 50 minimums, go because there are hardly anyone at those tables. Even the $25 minimum, was okay. I went when it was busy, but that was one of the worst casinos that I have ever been to. They made me pay for parking !! Then, asked for a pepsi and they said that I had to get a players card. I couldn't believe it. I didn't stay very long. If you are in the Aurora, IL area, go to Empress in Joliet (pssst...in the morning on a weekday). They have the best looking dealers I have ever seen. The tables are $15 minimums but it was good blackjack. Or go to Blue Chip, home of the 2 deck (face up) blackjack.

Also, careful when backcounting at Trump and Majestic Star.
