Count of Montecristo: Heading to Chicago...

Haven't been there in a couple of years. I did play in Joliet, at the Empress last time I was there and remember the conditions were decent. What I wanted to find out is, does anyone know if there are better places to play in the Chicago area, like maybe Gary, IN, etc... Anyplace have LS? Thanks in advance.

Trump has LS. All other places suck with the lone exception being Michigan City.

Sorry to burst any bubbles, but the conditions are really, really bad. Worse than I've seen in a long long time.

    Good Luck
    cheers

Whatever you do, don't go to Hollywood in Aurora or Horseshoe in Hammond. My god, they were terrible. Hollywood makes you pay for admission, pay for parking, pay if you want back in after going to your card, pay pay pay.

Also, I wanted a pepsi, and they told me to get a players card if you want a pepsi. I decided to drink water.

    Dear bfb(or others),

Can you tell me if Trump's advertised $5 dollar day games on Monday-Thursday are all 8 deck,6 deck,or a combination of both? Also,do they open many tables during the day on Monday-Thursday when the $5 dollar games are offered?

    Thanks,
    Sara

It's been reported that the $5 tables are 6 and 8 decks, and they are open during the day. That said, I'm likely to have more info tomorrow.

Recently got back from there but only played on the weekend. I can tell you that $15 was the lowest minimum but there were 6D and 8D on the $15 tables. I'd imagine that those would be the tables that during the week would be $5. It is a very fair game that was very good to me with just a modicum of heat and that's about as much as I want to say on a free message board. Some extremely bad players there that would certainly more than makeup for the one or two counters who might make their way in there.

You found 6 deck in Trump/majestic star? I thought it was all 8 deck.

    Dear John,
I can confirm what the Count told you in the message below. The Trump had lower limit 6 deck games(crowded tables),but I only saw 8 deck(crowded tables)at the Majestic.

There's six deck at the Magic too. At the BJ/3 card poker table(s). No surrender though, so they been "Trumped."
