    Ouchez: Chicago conditions requested

I will be in the Chi Town area on "Business" this fall and staying in the Elgin area. I was wondering about the latest conditions at Vic and Trump and any other casinos in the area worth visiting. I had last been to Vic around a year and half ago and renmember bad BJ but real fine craps. I will be rounding in the evenings during the week.

    Regards,
    Ouch/ez

It's the only thing even marginally playable, unless you drive to Trumps in Gary, or the Quad Cities. I don't know about Empress in Joliet. That may be a possibility. Stay far, far, away from Harrah's, Hollywood, and the Pot. Binion's in Hammond might be worth a look during the transition. A little chaos is always nice.

Sorry. Can't tell you much about craps conditions.

The wooses at GV have moved up the cut card. Like as if any decent player would be caught dead there in the first place. Pretty cowardly, if you ask me. Even plopsters are better off going to Empress in Joliet now. It's worth the $5 admission, to get a seat with some elbow room.

I was in Joliet a couple of weeks ago..on a Saturday morning. Empress doesn't open til 10AM. They had one $15 table open at that time, and the rest were $25. Plenty of room at the "green" tables. Around Noon they opened a few more tables toward the back of the casino. Still too many "green" tables in my opinion...there were people standing around the "red chip" tables waiting for a seat. Never could understand why many of these joints are so reluctant to lower minimums at "green" tables when no one is sitting there playing.

Played at Trumps in Gary on Tues and Wed, lots of $5 tables, cut 2 to 2.5 decks off of 8. No trouble varying bets, even sitting out bad shoes.
Majestic Star, next door, had only $10 tables, except during the day when three $5 tables were open but always full.

If they are cutting 2 - 2.5 out of 8, then I wouldn't care if they had 50 cent minimums, I wouldn't play them.

Come to think of it, why would I play eight deckers ... well *maybe* if they dealt it to the last card.

From your description, sounds like they've really hit rock bottom. They deserve a spanking!

In the past, you could find 4.5+/6 with LS.
