David: NE Games
It has been printed in these forums that the Northeast offers bad/poor games. The primary casino's in the NE are Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. The only BJ offerings they have are 6 to 8 deck shoe games. I have never seen single or double deck games offered. Is this the reason?

SOTSOG: That would be a start
Let's see nothing but 6 or 8 deck shoes.
Poor penetration.
High minimums.
Tables opened and closed to keep them crowded at all times.
(And of course, the idiots the tables are crowded with are the "friendly" Northeast type of folks.)
Given all that, they will sweat the action and change conditions and revoke comps if they think you know something.

Yeh, we New Yorkers avoid those Nasty Connecticut Yankees After the current Foxwoods expansion, the anti-casino forces in Connecticut are attempting to block all further expansion by Foxwoods or the Mohegan citing traffic and environment. Rather cynical as the same group has successfully blocked creation of any other casinos in the state that would have solved the traffic problem by splitting the load.
In an odd development, a casino is planned in the Hamptons on Long Island, New York. Highly unlikely that the group planning the casino will get authorization since they aren?t yet a Federally recognized tribe. But, they?ve already cleared some of the land. This is a nutty place for a casino. Traffic to the Hamptons (75 miles East of Manhattan) is very heavy on the one road. There are few trains and a tiny airport. Oddly, it?s easier to get there from Foxwoods since there is a ferry across Long Island Sound that stops close to the Connecticut casinos. There are also many filthy rich people that live in the neighborhood. Those that aren?t in or about to go to prison would fight to block a casino in their backyards.

SOTSOG: Sometimes there is no justice
Considering the bone head things I have seen casinos do in regards to simple customer service or simple business practices in running their bars, resturants, hotels, parking lots, etc. (In other words, if they didn't have a cash cow casino profits paying for everything, they would go broke trying to run a 'normal' business).
Now you are trying to tell me they don't plan location, highway traffic and access, etc. very well? Will wonders never cease.
Despite bad location, bad this, bad that, and probably a bad staff and management attitude to top it off, a casino in the Hamptons will probably make the owners more millions and millions than they are able to count.
