Good article and a brave move by the commission.

The casino will follow with even worse games.

The casino operators appear so chicken shit. Everyone should stay away and bring them to their knees, but we know that won't happen.

Kid, shirts are ready, give me that address, they are *innovative*. I'll even send one to Parker if he wants.

Exactly. So who wins? The public still shows up for the bad games. They are even glad for slow play. They last longer.

Bring them to their knees? So they can deal to you till they are broke?

Part of being a good counter is to count without getting caught.

I don't think counting, ST'ing, hole-carding (if you can find it), etc. is cheating.
I think the trespass rule is unfair.
I think the whole Griffin thing, and information sharing, is criminal.
I thimk getting beaten up in a backroom is criminal.

But refusing service to someone? My hometown restaurant does that.

When they catch me, they should have the right to show me the door. But I should have the right to come back tomorrow and start the whole thing over.

    Viktor Nacht: A slight misquote

    > Viktor, I didn't know you hung out in the Midwest.

    Impossible. I'm in hiding remember?

Thank you for posting the link to this article. The reporter, Rick Alm, is very much on the player's side, and I really respect his strong position on several key player's rights issue. Overall this article, and all of his similar articles are a nice contribution to the nascent but emerging public zeitgeist of gaming and gaming issues. We should all give him our support.

However I was ever so slightly disappoint with how my quotes were used.

Regarding the number of skilled counters, I said there were tens of thousands of people trying to be skilled players (based on our customer records and book sales of other companies like and larger than ours), but that it was probably only a few thousand that had the skill and self-discipline to play a winning game. And even fewer with the bankroll to make real money. I'm probably just being pedantic here, but there's a fine difference in the meaning with the quote as they used it, that may imply there are more good players that will win in the long-run than I meant to guestimate.

Also, and this is probably just like a Vietnam flash-back, I was bummed out that my quote concerning casino back-rooming was a bit terse and awkward ala the channel 8 George Knapp interview. I swear that in both cases I also described the situation in much more eloquent, well-informed explanations!

    Good Cards,

    V
