Very disturbing events. My next big trip is Labor Day weekend, a long weekend, and the way work has been I will be hustling right up to the last day so I can take the time off.

I am sure the Detroit situation was somewhat dicey but all is up and running now.

Do you know that Soaring Eagle has such a large emergency back up on site they can also run most of Mt Pleasant off of it?

I heard the UP was affected too, can you tell me the extent?

The last time the power went out at my fav place was in dead of winter and I had just turned up a bj with green out and they refused to pay and closed the casino. At around Midnight they called my room and asked me to come back, that they would have the shuttle take me but I had just got out of the hot tub and was dozing off. The next day they gave me an extra dinner ticket to make partial payment for the lost BJ. I was not happy that I was not paid, I guess it was really just bad timing since they have always been fair to me. I was winning good when the power went out and was feeling real positive with super playing conditions.

Ya know there is something that I really like about coming out of the casino at 3 in the morn and it being 25 below and looking up at that lite beacon type sign and no one else around and going back to my cozy room. I have such fond memories of that. I do like summer better though, but overall I really love it there. It has become a vacation place and a get away as well as a place to play great BJ and craps as well as poker. Pretty darn nice.
