Ho-Chunk Casino plans $100,000 Mardi Gras Blackjack Tournament

BARABOO, Wis. (January 6, 2003) ? Ho-Chunk Casino, Bingo, Hotel & Convention Center is gearing up for its biggest blackjack tournament ever ? the $100,000 Mardi Gras Tournament ? February 18-20, 2003.

The $400 buy-in registrations received by February 7 are guaranteed to include a two-night stay at Ho-Chunk Hotel, a welcome dinner fit for a king or queen, and Mardi Gras-style atmosphere and excitement while players vie for guaranteed cash prizes. The first-place finisher receives $25,000, while second place walks home with $20,000 cash. Ho-Chunk Casino will pay cash prizes all the way to the 42nd place finisher.

Festivities begin Tuesday, Feb. 18, and the first qualifying round starts at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The top two finishers at each table advance to the quarter finals, and players will also have the opportunity to re-buy-in at $200 during the qualifying round play. Top quarter-final finishers advance to Thursday?s semi-final round. The top six winners and one wild card player will play the final round on Thursday evening.
