    sam: vegas double deck?

I've been accustomed to playing double deck with not so good rules but a deep cut--1 1/2 decks usually dealt. No re-split, no double after split, double 10 & 11, hit soft 17. Where in Las Vegas can similar or better double deck be found?

The MGM chain, MGM, Bellagio, Monte Carlo, Aria, etc. have 2D,S17,DAS,-0.19% games dealt about 70%.

The Station casinos have 2D,H17,DAS,RSA,-0.35% games dealt about 75%.

Moviemakerjjcasino's JSTAT first talks about the famous blackjack card counter Ken Uston's Jockey Club cement wall the Cosmopolitan built. JSTAT goes on to explain where to card count the best double deck blackjack games at Aria, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, Luxor, Mirage, New York-New York, and Treasure Island casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. These casinos stand on soft 17 and allow doubling after splitting. Perfect basic strategy play yields only .18 to the house. Card counters benefit from low gambling odds at these casinos.

I spread 1-8, $25-$200, at the MGM chain. It took 8 hours to get barred at Aria, 6 hours at Monte Carlo on three different occasions, 3 hours at MGM. I haven't been barred at others.

I would expect to be barred considering the hours I was putting in. I would not expect a bar with a shorter, more reasonable, time frame of play.

Players that live in Las Vegas will probably limit the time frame to about 30 minutes per session. Out of towners, such as myself, don't care much about the bars and play more aggressively. The three bars at Monte Carlo were under different players cards and I would expect to play again in the future as I would expect the casino to not recognize me.

At Bellagio the minimum is $50 so I have been spreading 1-6, $50-$300, without bar.

The Station casinos have more heat so I only play 1 or 2 hour sessions. Shorter is better if you don't like the heat.

If you play bigger I would also expect you to have to play shorter sessions. If I go $500 or more I find I get barred too quickly. If you play big or frequently I think you have to go to short sessions. Eventually the tap will come no matter what you do.

1-3 is too weak a spread for these games.

    Good luck.

Be aware that Station casinos are tightly connected, and if you are backed off at one you will not be able to get a game at any of the others for a while.
