    orster52: Red-Black Sidebet True Counts?

There is a sidebet at the Las Vegas Hilton where the player can make a sidebet on the dealer upcard being Red or Black.

I don't know of any true count frequencies being published for this sidebet. Can anyone point me to said frequencies?

Assigning +1 to Red and -1 to Black the sidebet becomes positive ev at about +3.3 or -3.3 Red-Black true count for this 6D,H17,DAS,-0.63%,penetration 4.5/6 game.

It is a $25 maximum sidebet so don't run to Vegas to make your fortune on this.

I have seen red-black sidebets before, always with low maximums. The sought frequencies might be useful for the future.

    Thanks.

Interesting that no one seems to remember BJA3, pp. 32-33.

Not exactly the same game, I understand.

I have read BJA several times and totally blanked on your coverage. It is virtually the same game and did answer another question I had about what a side count would be worth.

Now if you would just post the volumes of true count frequencies that you have done simulations on...lol

    Thank you for the information.
