Unfortunately, the calculations remain the same whether we call the bet a "main bet" or a "side bet". If you want an advantage, don't look for it in this game.

If understand correctly you win on Eight or Nine and lose on anything else. Even if you get 3 to 1 for both Eight and Nine the best you can do is breakeven.
