How viable is backcounting in 2024? I was playing around with CVCX and saw that my risk of ruin plummeted even when backcounting to 1 and playing out the rest of the shoe no matter what. Is this...

With Max Bet out get a push on Blackjack and really needed that win never mind the 3:2 payout. Whatever can go wrong goes wrong or some saying similar is how I sum up this game. This has...

concerning the 4-4 vs 5,6 split. i have seen very little info. about a deviation play regarding this hand. it would seem to be ill advised with any ten rich shoe (or dbl. deck for that matter)

Since you start with a negative count, when should you begin using indices rather than basic strategy? I am thinking like the 9v2, 11vA,12v5&6, and the 13 and 14 hands. Thank you for the time &...

If your smallest bet is, say, $25 and your largest bet, which you make at a true count of, say, +5 is $400, then you have a 1-16 bet SPREAD. But what bets do you make in between, at TCs of +1, +2,...

I would be very interested in knowing more too. What is the difference between a betting ramp and a betting spread?

back counting is fine, just don't stand around there forever. watch a round or two and then sit down or bounce. while you sit down, you can fumble your money and let them deal another hand etc.

Backcounting is quite viable, but it’ll be location dependent. At the properties I play at I can just wong in place. Lose a couple hands then complain about the shoe not being good and let...

When you have a stiff hand against a dealer 7+, basic strategy says to bust.

Shit happens. I recall some years back a monster count shoe laying 2x350 getting 2 pat 20 hands dealer getting a multi card 21 - a couple of hands later losing 2 pat 20 hands again to a dealer multi...

I disagree. Your "act" needs to consist of making it appear that you're not backcounting. For example, talk on your phone or watch the TV in the pit while making a quick glance at the table when...

Not only viable, but one of the best ways to make money playing blackjack. Just stand behind the table, try to blend in, count the cards. Don't "put on an act", just stand there and count.

So you entered the game when TC hit +1 then you played out the rest of the shoe. The former is good but the latter is bad. You should set an exit point like -2 or -3. Make an excuse to leave table...
