At Sam's town and Palms: Single deck, H17, DOA, Double down on any number of cards, DAS {even after split aces}, RSA, Late surrender at any time on any number of cards, even after splits or dbl downs, 6 card charlie is an instant winner, any hand with 5 or more cards totalling 21 pays instant 2to1, Any player BJ is an instant winner, even if dealer has BJ. BJ in diamonds pays 2to1. ANY OTHER BLACKJACK PAYS EVEN MONEY, {NOT 3to2}. 3 rounds to one player, 2 rounds to 2 or 3 players 1 round to 4 or more players. Can anyone figure the house advantage?

The Wizard of Odds says that the house edge is .77%. Here's the link for more information.

This game is popping up all over Las Vegas, It is also available at all the Station casinos, Lady Luck, and many more.

The even money payout on most blackjacks is a killer, costing the player over 2%. The other rules do not come close to making up for this.

As Minnesota Fats mentions (and provides a link - thanks), Michael Shackleford ("The Wizard of Odds") calculates the house edge on this game to be .77%. This is using the strategy he provides, which is optimized to take advantage of all the rule variations.

Stanford Wong has come up with 1.2% house edge, and Trackjack calculates it to be over 2%, using standard multi-deck basic strategy.

One thing is certain: The house edge is large (which is why casinos love it), and if you approach it like a regular single deck game (as most casual players likely do) you will probably end up getting creamed (another reason casinos like it).

Even with optimal strategy, a typical Las Vegas 8 deck shoe game has a smaller house advantage.

If it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

I am able to determine the house edge at this, and other BJ games, and was aware of it before my last Vegas trip.

    Talk to y'all later,

New Wave: Super Fun 21 - SIX DECK

If this game was ever offered utilzing a six deck shoe with reasonably good penetration...could the game then be beat?? I just think the doubling on any card rule could be extremely profitable with the right count.

I saw this game last time I was in Vegas. It may be possible that with a different count and a different basic strategy, that SF21 on a SD could be beat. With 6D, the player disadvantage off the top would be even greater.

    > It seems if a new strategy with different indices on utilizing an advanced count system...when the count was favorable it may be exploitable...in a six deck game those times may be stretched out since the shuffle wouldn't reset the count so often? If a six deck comes up with those rules I hope some research to verify the potential Advantage for the "skilled" player versus the disadvantage to the basic player.

In 'Best Blackjack' Scoblete says if he ran a casino he'd offer all the most player-friendly rule because it would make bad Blackjack players spend even more money at the table thinking they have a bigger edge.

    And I think that's true.
