Yes, that was decent of them. Bottom line: I'm sure we all have kept mispays on purpose. In fact, when new casinos open, APs flock there just to get the mispays from all the new dealers during the break-in period.
However, the simple and LEGAL bottom line is that you're no more entitled to keep a mispay than you are to keep a bank deposit error, when your $100.00 becomes $10,000 on your statement. The money simply is NOT yours.
I would have asked to see the tape. I see no reason why they wouldn't show it to you. It's for both parties' protection. Suppose THEY were the ones who thought they saw something that they didn't? Not likely, but possible nonetheless. Calling it a push in your case was a gift.
Don
I ask to see it every time. I have yet to get to see a tape. They say that just isn't going to happen.
When any of us think about not paying it back, just remember you are often being tolerated. Any little reason for them to act against you will usually result in the end of your time with this casino and maybe other ones the exchange info with.
I lost my 3 favorite casinos when one I didn't play at much shared with one I rarely played at. When I showed up at the latter a flier or bolo went out that cost me my 3 bread and butter casinos. My other main moneymaker seemed like shared info may have contributed to my end. The signs were there that things were coming to an end. I had won way more than I thought I could without any action against me. My comps were drying up. But the timing was the next visit after a casino up the road took action against me.
Sometimes to win the war you need to lose some of the battles.
Sure and if he could get 30-50x he should
But if they went far back to find the error I'd be worried my days were numbered anyway as they probably watched a lot of my play
Additionally I don't have any casinos locally and personally there aren't any games I'm playing where I'd be able to suck out that much ev over based on my spread before getting the boot
