I believe you refer to that as a typo, vs. a grammatical error.

Tougher to know, as there is another word, complementary, which means something different. Typo or misspelling? You tell me! For example, to me, it isn't a typo when someone writes principle for principal, it's for its, or your for you're.

    Don

going back to the original post and away from a discussion on English use, the OP seems to be calling the slash and burn types as idiots. This leads to the following question. Say there is only one casino within 100 miles of your home, a small one, where you have a single DD game with decent rules and pen. You have been playing for longevity and basically extract $300 a week, to supplement your $30k salary, meet your family needs. In comes a slash and burn type from across the country and does his thing. What is an appropriate reaction from you? Do you tip the pit off or do you watch the demise of the game and your $12k a year supplement to your pitiful salary?

Interesting problem. Exactly what are you going to say to the pit without tipping them off to your counting. I sympathize. There was an asshole who once outed me to the pit. He actually had the temerity to say - he's counting, I know, because I'm counting. I'd be delighted to hear your eloquence in handling this issue.

Zbb ,that is not what I am trying to say actually. If you know what i am saying then you know , otherwise there is not much to talk about. I guess the word "idiot" means i am not happy with them or their style of play. Not that they are actually idiots.

Not saying I'd do it. But....

"Wow! I've read about counters and saw that "21" movie, but I didn't think I'd ever actually recognize one! Can you just give me a nudge when it's time?" Of course you would save that until the PB is at the table. Then you play BS for a while and get up.
