Barred for counting years ago, can I use a players card today?

Hi everyone, new to this forum. A few years ago while playing rated at a strip casino in Vegas, A suit came up to the table and said I was no longer allowed to play blackjack but could play any other game. I asked "why" but was just told the same thing again. I've heard of casinos sharing info with each other so I decided to do an experiment and went straight to a casino with no affiliation to the one that just barred me, plus it seemed like I never won there so they should have no reason to ban me. I sat at a table and gave the dealer my players card, As the pit boss swiped my card I noticed he stared an awfully long time into the monitor and I knew what was in store, I don't remember whether he called someone on the phone or not but within 5 minutes a suit came and gave me the same line just like the other casino.
    .
For the past few years I've played unrated everywhere I've gone. lately I've been thinking of sitting down somewhere and trying to play with a card just to see what happens but wonder if that would only make it worse. Was the alert sent out just temporary or will something still pop up? What if I try to use a card an an Indian Casino, will anything show up there? Any responses are appreciated.

A Barring is Forever. Your name, once "heated-up" will permanently haunt you.

Your photo and description was "flyered" as well, but not all casino data bases

have a photograph field and must depend on a stack of hard-copy photos that

is usually kept at the podium for 6 months to a year, but forever by the surveillance

    crew behind the E. I. T. S.

Try to sign up for a new players card and see if your new card has the same number as your old card. If so, your play history from before will be visible to the casino. If it has a new players card number you may be free to play without the pit ID'ing you as an undesirable. The eye, may choose to look you up in their separate database and may well find you in there. You're probably better off just continuing to play anonymously or get a friend to get a players card for you.

Do casinos really still keep photos albums at the podium in the pit?

I' had a experience when PB appeared to be browsing a computer database of faces.

The PB later made a comment to the effect there was someone from xyz that looked just like me.

I was red hot at a place 12 or so years ago but was not backed off because of state law. After the law was changed I quit going there and had not gone back until recently. The property had been sold several times since my last play so I got a new player's club card and have used it enough to get mailers, free offers, and cash back with no problems. YMMV

    PAncho --

My advice would be to keep playing anonymously. Depending on how long ago and where it was, your name may have made an appearance in OSN. I am not totally up on who uses OSN, but several friends were recently barred from Strat/AZ Charlies/Aquarius and the only thing that differentiated those who were trespassed and those who weren't was that every person trespassed was in OSN, none of the rest of us are. I know that the Cosmo is a big contributor to OSN, but really don't know who else in Vegas is.

I was backed off 21 at Bellagio in 2002 and then tried to use my brother's player card (he is not an AP) at Mirage in 2004. I was almost immediately asked for photo id. I guess photos pop up for them as soon as they scan your card. Whoops.

It used to be the case that they really harassed you for a card. That seems to be less the case today as people are more concerned about privacy.

    Best of luck.

    Regards,

    Hizzle
