    CVBJ Graphs ?

    I'm having trouble interpreting these graphs. What is "True Count Advantage (IBA)" graph mean? Between TC -17 and TC +1, they are all around -175,000%, TC of 2 at about -50,000%, and the rest (+3 and above) around -12,500%. And what (if any) kind of distribution should I see in the "True Count Dollars Won" graph, that compares win/loss dollars to the TC, after many many rounds? Also, is there a way to see this data in text and not graphs (or text next to the bar, so instead of thinking "around $450" I can see it's "precisely $465" or whatever.

    And how do those results compare to the simmed results from Dog Hand: https://blackjacktheforum.com/showth...meone-sim-this ? I'm assuming the WR is calculated with 100 hands per hour? IBA is Initial Bet Advantage....which is my overall advantage once you calculate the true edge with how many units are on the table. Say you were flat-betting, your IBA would be the same as your EV, right? But since you bet more units at +EV scenarios and less units at -EV scenarios, the extra units at +EV overcome the -EV scenarios, making the game overall +EV. Is IBA based off of your smallest unit? If my IBA is 0.886%, like indicated in dog hand's sim results....does that mean: "For every bet I make, I will win 0.886% of 1 unit" (in the long run) ? If my 1 unit is $5....then, 0.886% of $5 is $0.0443. So, I would be making about 4.43 cents per hand played?

    It takes hundreds of millions of hands to sim Blackjack. The CVBJ results are just results from your play. They have no statistical meaning.

    RollingStoned,

    An IBA of 0.886% means that, on average, you'll win 0.886% of each initial bet. However, since you're spreading your bets (not flat-betting), then your average initial bet will not be your minimum bet, but rather somewhat higher. In particular, in the post you quoted I said your win rate was $11.32/hr, so from these two numbers we can calculate your average initial bet as:

    AIB = $11.32/0.886 = $12.7765...

    Since your minimum bet was $5, this means your average initial bet is 2.555... units. This average depends on your bet schedule as well as the frequency distribution of the TC's; while the freq. dist. depends on the penetration and on the number of total spots in play.

    Hope this helps!
