Hi Norm,
I am using the Dravot system and I am lucky enough to play this game : 6D, S17, ENHC, DAS, DOA, Full Early Surrender.
Regarding the IP, one should take insurance for a TC >= 24. My question, which still stands for other systems, is: in those circumstancies, does the Surrender option prevails over this decision (for instance with 14 vs. A)?
Thanks.
Norm, there is something I don't get.
to which you reply: Aces you have seenIn CVData, do you count all Aces ? Or only "Aces you can see" (at this moment) ?
When using KO and taking an insurance decision, it's fine to adjust the count with the Aces on the table at that moment (could say the same for Hi-Lo). However, if you require the player to take into account all the Aces played, this isn't KO anymore because the KO count doesn't have a sidecount of Aces. A KO player will choose this system for its simplicity and certainly not to sidecount Aces.

I agree with BD. If the aces on the table swing the decision there isn't much EV there to begin with. The insurance index you use includes aces. If you are adjusting for aces you would use a different index for the most accuracy. Most adjust the RC and use the same index in an ace neutral count but in an ace reckoned the adjustment would be twice. In an unbalanced count such as KO removing the ace from the count would definitely change the deviation point and counting it with the lows for the decision would change it even more. Remember you are not true counting.
Real REKO is +2 (22)
For test purpose, I used +4 (24) as in "Color Of Blackjcak"
But I think that results are inside sim's SD.
Another sim give me 21,98 and 21,99
IMHO this option don't matter.
