I played at a table with an Asian girl who bet with the count, but at the same time withdrew one of her two hands if I switched to two hands, and went back to two hands if I stopped playing one of my hands. She also put dollar tips on everyone's hand from time to time, and chided me a few times for doubling down on A,2 vs 5, or 6, saying it was a bad bet and besides it made her lose. The pit critters stood for hours conferring with each other as they watched her obviously counting but with so many bad plays, and sporadic large bets in negative territory (camo? LOL), it was probably hard for them to give her the tap. She was way up for a while, but way down when I left.

The coup d'grace would have been for her to say, "My fortune cookie advised not to play cards today."

Agree...but if you're playing max bet on both the game and the side bet, chances are, you are.

You might not be a card counter if you assume the dealer's hole card must always be a 10.

It depends on the side bet.
May the cards fall in your favor.
