    The Boot Camp

Sorry for the delay guys, I had a lot more trouble finding a venue than I anticipated.

    Dates: Feb 6-8
Sessions: Friday evening, all day Saturday
Topics Include: Counting and Counting Tactics, Heat and Camo, Tax and other Business issues, Getting Away with It
Cost: $100 for the Camp, paid at the beginning of the conference
    Discount Rate available at Hotel
    Location: Midwest

What to expect: Formal lectures, mixed in with exercises, drills, and discussions. Plenty of time to network, and meet with other APs. Expect an extremely in-depth coverage of topics listed. I will not waste your time with thin material, I will tell you everything I know about the topics listed.

Disclosure: I do not work in the gaming industry. I have no current intentions of working in the gaming industry.

    Requirements:

    1. You must register for the pay section of Norm's site, and PM me.

    2. This event is limited to the first 25 people that confirm they are attending.

    3. I will not ask for your real name. You may attend using only your internet handle.

    4. If you want to disguise your appearance, I don't care. You're weird, but I'll allow it.

    5. I plan to do everything I can to protect player identities. For that reason, the boot camp is taking place off-site from any casinos, but near some very playable games. You are free to play if you would like, but there is no requirement.

    6. Under no circumstances are you to take pictures, or make an attempt to record other players without their explicit consent. You may not disclose anyone's identity. Player identities are considered intellectual property.

    7. This is boot camp is aimed at helping players. For that reason I ask that you never reveal anything you learn to anyone in the casino industry.

    8. Please do not bet more than $200 when we are playing. The venue has a number of good, tolerant, playable games, but I kindly ask that no one spread min to max.

    9. Please do not post the location of the event, any casinos we played at, or anything identifying about anyone, or any good games.

    10. If you work for a casino, contract with casinos, or work in any capacity in the gaming industry, you MUST disclose this in your PM. It is not necessarily a bar to attending, but you need to be very up front about this. I might allow a dealer or other low-level staff IF all other attendees are ok with it, but I will not allow anyone who works in a managerial or game protection role to attend. No surveillance, no suits, no floors, no pit bosses, no shifts, no casino managers, no table games managers, no security managers. Do not contact me if you work in a managerial or game protection role for a casino, or as a consultant. That includes past, present, and intended future employment or consulting business.

    11. To be clear, if you PM me, unless you EXPLICITLY state your line of work, you are communicating that you are an advantage player, that you do not work in the gaming industry, and that you are attending for the purpose of improving your skills as an advantage player.

    12. If you work in the gaming industry in any capacity, and fail to disclose this in your initial PM, it will probably open you to civil and criminal liability. I will consider it a fraudulent attempt to discover other people's identities, and I will almost certainly take action against you. Do not contact me if you want to try to infiltrate this event, it will not go well for you.

    13. Seriously, don't try to infiltrate this event. It is for advantage players only.

    Sounds like a great opportunity.

Started my AP adventures early last year on an "apprenticeship" website, but quickly decided against paying them (more than $1000 for "bootcamp") for basically lessons on how to learn how to play HiLo. I will PM moo321 for more details. I truly appreciate his willingness to share his experience and expertise with others from this forum.

I've talked to those guys, and I have nothing but good things to say about their character and their expertise, and I know they have made a lot of money in this business. However, you are correct that their camps have a different focus and a different price range than this one, which will be more focused on intermediate and advanced counting skills, as well as networking.

Moo, early on I indicated an interest in the boot camp. While there is still much interest I regret that I have a commitment that weekend that I absolutely cannot back out of. My hope is that this bootcamp will be successful for yourself and the attendees, and that you will have a repeat boot camp in the not too distant future (hint, later this year).

I think no casino will be interested in coming to your boot camp. The only one you should worry is that Griffin might want to send someone to gather information so they can put the participating AP in their Griffin Book.

And you can do nothing about it because the one they send will have 100% AP credential without any casino connection, just working for the dark side.

I suggest every student wear a mask attending the class.

The casino's won't suspect a thing. Must be a Zorro convention in town.
Maman died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don't know.

    Really. The paranoia reigns supreme.

Griffin? Didn't Bev file for bankruptcy after the run in with Russo and Grosjean over 10 years ago?

No names are required by moo321. Why the paranoia?

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
