What is the worst pen for an 8 deck game you have seen?

I mean, as their normal game procedure/rules. Just noticed at 7luck in Seoul they leave 3 decks behind the cut card! 5/8 62.5% pen! I know they have to defend against counters, but I would think that with this large amount of less hands being played, coupled with more shuffling time, it is taking away from the casinos profits.

For a regular game I stopped by Hotel Nevada in Ely to pick up a red chip for a collector friend of mine, they were dealing an 8 deck h17 no das game with $50 max cutting off 3.5 decks. I asked the dealer if they were afraid that the MIT team was going to swoop into Ely to try to beat their game.

One store about 100 miles from me cut 3 decks on a 6 d shoe. Further, shuffling us done out of sight. Good for a laugh or 2.

3.5 cut of 6 because they suspected me of counting. The worst 'normal' cut is dealer-dependent. 60% penetration for 6 deck (at that point, they're not even following casino policy). I've never heard of normal procedure being less than 67% for 6D. 8D could not normally have worse penetration, if that helps.

I have been at casinos on two cruise ships in my life. Each of them cut off at least 3, and often up to 3.75 decks of an 8 deck shoe.

    I wouldn't trust a hidden shuffle.
