I think I screwed up something big-time and was hoping a kind soul could lead me out of this mess. Here's my predicament.

I have a laptop for home use and have attached a PC monitor to it for easier viewing (of Norm's fantastic CV program, for example). I also have a very high resolution digital camera and I use the monitor for better viewing of the camera's .jpg files. Well, stupid me, I thought that I could improve the resolution on the PC monitor by adjusting the parameters in the Advanced Settings section of the Display icon using the monitor #2 as the PC monitor. Nothing happened to the resolution BUT now the PC monitor does not produce anything except an aqua blank screen. However, this aqua blank screen appears only after the icons appear on the laptop monitor during the booting-up phase. Prior to this, both screens are identical (I get the Dell screen and the Windows screen).

Did I explain the problem clearly?

What did I do and how do I get my PC monitor to mimic my laptop monitor again?

Thanks much for any assistance in making sense of my problem.

Parker, can you help with this one?

Stupidly yours,
