    sam: shuffle machines

I've played a double deck game recently that is machine shuffled. I remember several years back there was considerable discussion on shuffle machines on this site. Was there a final conclusion about the safety of the machines? Possible stacked deck?

If you play in a civilized country, there is no such problems with machine shuffle. Of course we're not talking about CSMs here.

How would one identify a Shuffle Master box? I observed fairly distinct patterns of cards in small slugs in each deal.
