A DD game that is H17 NDAS is dreadful!
The shoe games are less than marginal,
but can be played with an aggressively wide spread
That, only presuming the penetration is DEEP.
I'll refrain from expressing my thoughts about
Your attacking poor games with a weak count.
I play the exact DD game often because at times, the pen is 80% plus and it can be beatable. I play $25 at below TC-1, take breaks and go to 2x$50 at TC2 and.up to 2x$150.
I also play the 6 deck if the pen is 80% or higher.
Out in the Midwest, they are more tolerant of bigger spreads. Where I play, I think they have.assumed the tough rules are enough and they save on surveillance.
Sharky,
Wouldn't an aggressive wong out on a DD game catch unwanted scrutiny especially at your home casino? I hardly ever play DD, but when I do I make sure that the table min. is something that I can stand 'playing all' or if I do intend on wonging out more than once I typically just head for the door after Ive used up my bathroom break, smoke break, and phone break. This would not be the same case if one were playing outside of their home stores.
As they say even the dumbest surveillance agent can count a DD game down.

the game is simply NOT PLAYABLE @ -1 and BELOW...there are TONS of reasons ex: (important) people need to take (important) calls...the day they legalize cell phones at tables i'm really in trouble...i;m joking..t.of course, sitting out a hand "the change the flow" is an option....then as table (generally) wins and count sinks further => "oh, i;m not going to get in on this one, either"
Sorry Sharky I should of read it through. They are speaking of a DD with terrible rules and as you mentioned they are still slightly behind at +1. I would never play it, but to each their own. I was referring to playing all with occasional Wong outs on a not great, but good enough for my playing standards DD game .
Oh, and were certainly screwed once they permit cellphones at the table.. Or are we

I stay at one. Hand of $25 at TC below Zero, sometimes go to 2x$25 at TC+1. I shift to $50 each hand at TC+2.
The Vegas mentality and fear of heat is not a factor at local casinos and well known locals. I play using a players card and have won about $8500 over 6 months at that table this year. Course, because of rat holing and other techniques, their record does.not show me as a winner.
Play within your bankroll, pick your games with care and learn everything you can about the game. The winning will come. It has to. It's in the cards. -- Bryce Carlson
its not a small spread going from one hand of $25 to 2x$250 at max bet. This DD game is all over Missouri. I suspect the pit and surveillance picks up when a person without a player's card sits at table or at certain times of the day/week but for the most part, when locals the Pit knows and players with card play, there is no heat. They probably concluded that they would save money on surveillance by having tougher rules ( double 9-11 only, no doubling after splits, no MS entry). Since I limit my win amount to under $800 per session, rathole no more than 2-4 Green chips at a session, walk away without heading for cashier, let Pit guy know I lost (when I do) and get a meal comp, I think they tolerate it. There are plenty of losers and ploppies losing big amounts.
in MO there is no backing off and while I am told that more outrageous strategies and spreads result in half shoeing or restricting your spread, I have not seen the latter happen too often. Ocassionally, if someone has a big pile of chips or some unrated player sits, the pit signals to the dealer subtly and the pen goes down to 50% ( and I leave).
